Tree Removal in Ogden & Weber County

Dead, hazardous, or just in the way — we take trees down safely, haul everything off, and leave the site clean.

A tree that’s dead, leaning, split, or crowding your home isn’t just an eyesore — it’s a liability. Tree Easy removes trees of every size across Ogden and Weber County, from a single backyard maple to a row of failing cottonwoods, with the rigging and insurance to do it safely.

When a tree should come down

Not every problem tree needs removing — but some clearly do. Call us if you’re seeing:

  • Dead or dying wood — bare branches in summer, peeling bark, or fungus at the base.
  • Lean or root lift — a new lean, or soil heaving on one side of the trunk, often means the root plate is failing.
  • Cracks and cavities — vertical trunk cracks, large hollows, or a split where major limbs meet.
  • Storm damage — hung-up limbs, a snapped leader, or a tree partially uprooted by wind.
  • Wrong tree, wrong place — roots into a foundation or sewer line, or a canopy that’s outgrown the space.

What’s included

Every removal is a complete job, not just the cutting. When you hire Tree Easy for a takedown, you get:

  • A full assessment of the tree, drop zones, and access before we start.
  • Controlled sectional removal for anything near a house, fence, or power line.
  • Complete haul-off of the wood, brush, and debris.
  • A raked, blown-down site when we leave.
  • Optional stump grinding to finish the job flush with your yard.

How the job goes

1. Free on-site estimate

We walk the property with you, look at the tree and everything around it, and give you a clear written quote — no pressure, no obligation.

2. A plan for the drop

Before a single cut, we identify where each section lands and how it leaves the property. Tight yards and trees over structures are lowered by rope, piece by piece.

3. Safe takedown

Our crew brings the tree down in a controlled sequence, keeping the work zone clear and your property protected the whole way.

4. Cleanup and haul-off

We chip the brush, load the wood, and clear the debris — then rake and blow the area so you’d barely know we were there, except the tree is gone.

Emergency or storm-damaged tree? A hazardous tree over your home or driveway shouldn’t wait. See our emergency tree care page, or just call and tell us what’s going on.

Licensed, insured, and local

Tree removal is the highest-risk work in this trade, and it’s where cutting corners costs the most. Tree Easy carries full liability coverage and workers’ comp, so a bad day on your property never becomes your problem. We’re Ogden-based, we answer our own phone, and we stand behind every takedown. When the wood is loaded and the yard is clean, that’s the job done right.

Frequently asked questions

How do you remove a tree that’s close to my house?

Trees near structures come down in sections rather than felled in one piece. We rig and lower limbs and trunk pieces under control — often roping them down — so nothing hits your roof, fence, or landscaping. Tight-access removals are routine work for us.

Will removing the tree damage my lawn or driveway?

We plan the drop zones and haul routes before any cutting starts, use protective mats where equipment has to cross soft ground, and rake and blow the area down when we’re done. The goal is a clean site, not a rutted yard.

Do I need to be home during the removal?

It helps to walk the property with us at the estimate so we agree on exactly what’s coming down, but you don’t have to be present for the work itself as long as we have clear access.

What happens to the stump?

A standard removal leaves the stump cut low to the ground. If you want it gone, we grind it below grade as a separate service so you can replant, sod, or pave over it — just mention it when you call.
